Looks complicated, but is simpler if you understand the hierarchy...

The expression is the most important aspect of the drawing. It tells the story. It needs to be clear, and then wrap around the skull and jaw forms.

Then the rest of the details are subject to the positions of the expression and the skull and jaw. It's skin being pushed and pulled around the skull by the expression. George is a particularly fleshy man.

The same laws of hierarchy apply to the body and its details too. Same general logical reasoning.

Hi John
I made some Condorito expressions using the lessons that you taught us.
It would be great if you could do me some criticism
Condorito expressions
thanks for all!
Holy crap, that is EXTREMELY helpful. I've been doing everything pretty backwards, not to mention I've been slacking on a few methods, and excluding others.
This realy has opened my eyes, Mr. Kricfalusi. Job well done, and if I can get some income, I will be sure to donate to your cause.
hey i was just wondering if john has ever talked about bill plympton or don hertzfeldt. or what modern day animation he likes?
And then when you ink it- the lines follow the same hierarchy! (emphasizing certain important details like the eyes and mouth)
Is it OK to try and draw George from here?
You should write your own book on animation.
the art and craft
the business
independent and corporate
short and full length
